Rotary International – Work from Home Customer Service – Scam ?

I’m from Toronto, Ontario, in Canada.
Does anyone every work as a Customer Service, work from home, for Rotary International ?

They posted a job ad at Kijiji

Then, I received an email replied from their RI President, John Kenny under his email address as rotarymovement@live.com, who didn’t asked me any money, but I was requested to download and set up a Yahoo Instant Messenger Account (www.messenger.yahoo.com ) and add the online HR Manager, “Mr Charles Baldwin” on his yahoo i.d charlesbaldwin2008.
I did and spoke with Charles online later on for an ‘easy’ interview. I was hired right away. Charles emailed me that I need to fill out “Hire and Personal Information Form”, which I did provided my personal information, inclu. my name, Date of Birth, contact phone #, & home address, but the form didn’t asked for my personal banking information, or email related password; also I signed a “Letter Of Employment” for confidential purpose for the organization.
Charles informed me that I will resume work soon (I spoke with him around end of October!), and I will receive something related from work via Fedex, which I still haven’t received it yet !!!

He also informed me the details of work :-
fulltime is 8 hours and part time is 4 hours and it can be done anytime between 8:00am-6:00pm and that is also flexible
A fulltime job means working for 8 hours daily and for 40 hours weekly. Research has shown that a full day work amounts to 4 hours of active work. This means that this is a very flexible job because you get paid for 8 hours.
A Part time job means working for 4 hours daily and for 20 hours weekly. Research has shown that a part time day amounts to 2 hours of active work. This means that this is a very flexible job because you get paid for 4 hours.
You will receive your task in the morning by 8:00am and you are expected to submit on or before 6:00pm daily.
Your job will include the following, receiving calls from donors, enter all data from every donor that calls into our system and also provide details about the rotary club to new members
You will get paid by check weekly. This job also has job benefits but you can only apply after 2 months in office.
You will resume work sometime this week, the exact day will be made known to you as we proceed.
You will need a new laptop, Fax machine, scanner, printer and specified software to start this job. However, the good news is that we will make financial provisions for this equipment so that you can get started because it is our responsibility

You will receive a check payment to cover the cost of this office equipment. You will cash it at your bank and we will refer you to a store where you will buy all the needed equipment
We are sending a cheque for $2050, which the money mainly is covered the cost of new equipment, as shown above.

I work now as web developer but in small websites and i kept searching for jobs but i cant find one so if any one know any company that can allow me to work from home as web developer or Customer service that will be great and thank you

Anyone know any legit companies to work from home providing customer service or tech support via e-mail?

I know there are companies which hire for telemarketing and customer service over the phone, working from home, but I am interested more in responding to customer service requests and tech support e-mails. Can anyone name some that are legitimate? I do not know of any or how to find them.
