Your Questions About Stay At Home Mom Schedule

Mandy asks…
Stay at home mom schedule ?
I am a stay at home mom my son is two.
I want to hear other sahm with toddlers schedule. I feel I am at a loss of things to do with him. I am now pregnant and my energy has went down.
He says he wants tocolor but when we do he’s not into it. H likes messy things lol.
Could anyone let me know what they do all day everyday lol
I’m starting to go crazy. I don’t want to go out and spend a ton of money. We do go to the park a few days a week.
I dont want to just stick him in front of the tv.
Just looking for fun things for my son that will keep his attention.
Thank you

Lets see…
2x week We go to the kids section of the library for lapsit reading time they read stories and make arty stuff…it’s good that I don’t have to clean the mess!
2x weeks got to the park by our house.
We are up 7am dressed brush teeth/hair
7:45 Eat and clean up get clean clothes on
start a load of laundry
8:30 head to the back yard to throw ball or wiggle/dance.
Play with the dog ..if I have no energy I give them a magnifying glass and have them search for bug friend or dig for worms. While they do that sometimes I read or pick up stuff in the backyard.
10 Head in wash hands change clothes(if they need) and change out laundry. Fix and eat snacks. Clean up from snacks. I will pull out butcher paper roll and crayons on the table to draw pics of bugs they found.
While I fold and put away clothes. Some times they will “help” sort the clothes..LOL
11 they play with their toys in their corner or build a fort…while I wash dishes and get lunch together.
11:45 Pick up time who ever puts away ALL the toys the touched gets juice with lunch!
12 Lunch
12:45 Clean up and change clothes if needed we sometimes brush our teeth and floss to kill time!
Then we go for a short walk .
1:45 Get back wash hands and do our “homework” we practice a letter or two of their names and get ready for nap.
2 -3:45 they nap while I either relax or pay bills or wipe down tables or mop floors and vacuum depending on the day.
3:45 up and dressed
4-5 they play in their room while I get dinners together sometimes they help cook.
5-5:45 Dinner
5:45 clean up
6-7 bath time while they are in the tub I clean the bathroom and play!
7-745 Book time and get ready for bed brush /floss teeth.
8 lights out and no butt out of bed or no going to the park that week!
This works GREAT.
9-11 Me time!
But at they library they have loads of books on toddler activities that are free and or cheap.
Like buying paper cups and have them color them stack them and knockem down with a ball!
Pots and pans are a good entertainer to if you don’t mind the noise!
Have fun mama!

Stay at home Mom’s What does your schedule like?
I’m trying to reorganize my schedule to better fit everything in. I have been feeling very overwhelmed lately. I have a three year old and a year old. I’m just wanting all of you stay at home moms to write out your schedule what time you get up and your kids, if you have any down time, when you clean ect.. ( my kids are long but light nappers)

My little man is 3 as well and we got him on a regular schedule when he was a infant and he still follows it. Its my only saving grace! We combine activities throughout the day so I can get things done while he is entertained. I have my own photography business as well, so I have to do a lot of computer editing work through the week. It’s very tricky…but it can be done. My little man is very curious about what I’m doing at ALL times so I just have him mimic me throughout the day…and he loves it.
Our schedule is…
-wake up at 7am
-breakfast, and I check emails/coffee
-The morning is when I get my cleaning done. Any laundry, dishes, floors, bathrooms. He comes with me and “helps” When I’m doing laundry I perch him on the dryer and hand him things to throw in. Dishes, he puts all the low/non-breakables away. Floors, he simply follows me “driving his cars on the clean street”. At that age they are so curious about everything that you do and the short attention span is still intact that if you’re running around the house, give him/her a small part of the task that will allow them to “help” and spend time with you.
-Lunch is at 12:30
-nap time is 1 pm (long but light as well)
-1-3pm roughly is nap time and since he is a light sleeper I use this time to work on the computer, and return any emails, and plan out dinner. Anything quiet…
-After nap we have a snack and go play outside.
-daddy comes home from work at 4 roughly, and after he takes a few to wind down, they always have boy time , which gives me about an hour to relax, finish any computer work, etc…
-Dinner’s at 6
-bath time 7
-We play a couple games together (candy land, hi-ho cherrio, cootie bugs are up his alley)
-Bed time 8:30
-my bed time 10:30
…and thats a day!
Hope this helps

My schedule is sort of flexible, because their bed time and nap schedule is inconsistent (as much as i’ve tried) but i have a 2 and a half year old and an 18 month old.
8am- wake up, potty/diaper changes
8:15am- juice and a bowl of cereal (while i make breakfast)
8:45am- breakfast
9:30am- story time
10am- playtime
12pm- lunch
1pm- educational (i let my toddler choose what he wants to learn about)
2pm- attempted nap time (usually succeed on my 18month) but playtime for 2 year old.
3pm- wake up, diaper change and snack time
4pm- story time or education (they choose)
5pm- play time
6pm- dinner
7pm- bath time
8pm- daddy comes home, and it’s a nuthouse Lol!
I usually clean around the 18 month olds nap- and invest in my 2 year old to help with the toys, or just let him play while I do some dishes and pick up the toys myself lol.

Mark asks…
New moms that stay at home, what is your schedule like?
I have a 2 month old boy and I am a stay at home mom. It is cold where I live and I don’t have any friends with kids so I find myself pretty bored through out the day. I was wondering what other stay at home mom‘s schedules were like. I find myself just walking around my apartment all day with the baby and watching TV. I try to work out and clean but the baby usually gets fussy. What do you do all day?

Yigly Admin answers:
When my son was younger and I was bored in the winter I would often take him to the mall just to walk around. I would get bored and at that age they don’t do much besides eat and sleep, so I’d pack whatever bottles I needed and I killed my time strolling him around the mall. When it was time to eat I would just sit on the sofas they have and feed him. He always seemed to enjoy it.
