You could try babysitting a few children in your house. Most stay at home jobs are scams.

Paul asks…
stay at home mom vs moms with jobs outside of home?
Is there a competition between these 2 of whose job is hardest?
a person with the screen name: dude that loves ice cream ; says yes.
she works at a job outside of the home and comes home and takes care of kids. and that stay at home moms(ones that dont work outside their home–no paycheck) have it easier.
Myself, I replied and said that stay at home moms have the most hardest and unappreciated job in the whole world:
my mom stayed at home with 8 kids and raised us until the 8th one was 1 yr old and then she worked outside the home.
myself, I have 1 child- I worked 14yr (including my teen yrs-10yr as a teen) before I had my baby(had her when I was 27yr) took 4yr off work and stayed home and raised her and saw all her firsts .
I went back to work when she started kindergarten. and both jobs are hard. this person thinks that going out to work is harder than JUST staying home all day— I know myself : that it isnt easy either way. but being home with only children is sometimes hard too

I think a lot of the people who think stay at home moms have it easy don’t realize how hard it is to take a break around kids. They have the illusion that we just have to sit around, watch soap operas and eat bon bons all day. Apparently the house and kids just take care of themselves.
Yes, working mothers do come home and take care of their kids after work. But it isn’t like they have to make up for the time they spent at work, by which I mean they don’t have to make all the meals, watch the kids all those hours, etc.
Quite honestly, I think neither side has it easy. You’re either a lazy stay at home mom or a neglectful working mom. We won’t even mention the lunatics like me who work at home (after all, the people making these arguements tend to ignore the work at home moms for whatever reason).
Honestly, I wish both sides would support each other more. It is not an easy job no matter what choices you make. Being a working mother gives you more to talk about when you’re in social situations (who brags about being a stay at home mom?), but I think most happy stay at home moms feel more fulfilled than they would if they worked outside the home.

Sandy asks…
What are the best jobs for a stay at home mom?
I’m a stay at home mom with 2 little ones both under the age of 4, and I’m interested in checking into some type of job I can do from my home, advice from woman who have been there and done that would be greatly appreciated.

My situation is similar; I have a 4 year old and a nearly 16 month old. I’ve worked at home since before the 4 year old was born.
First I did medical transcription. Good job, but you have to get training first, and then find the job. It’s not easy to do with little ones underfoot, as they want your attention and you need a lot of quiet to get work done. Trust me, those doctors aren’t always that easy to understand. However, once you get established it’s pretty steady work no matter the economy. People always go to doctors. If you want to learn more about it, go to http://www.homewiththekids.com/medical-transcription/
Now I do affiliate marketing. It’s a lot more fun, but my income very much depends on a variety of factors, some of which I control and others which I do not. I love my work, however, and it gives me the flexibility to work the hours I choose, and if my kids need me most of the time I can stop at a moment’s notice, then pick up where I left off. You can read about this option at http://www.aspectsofhomebusiness.com/affiliatebusiness/
There are all kinds of opportunities out there these days to work at home. The internet has really opened things up. Start by thinking about what you want to do… Get a work at home job, start a home business, and about what your skills are. Working at home is very difficult and you have to be highly motivated. But it can also be a lot of fun, and the reward of being there for your kids is well worth it.

Richard asks…
stay at home mom jobs without scaming websites that you have to pay a fee?

Yigly Admin answers:
Audrey -
Many are scams or make you pay and pay little in return so do use caution -
Your best bet –
Child care
auctions and or a web site that you are creative with and can sell items you make or a friend does.
The other idea is sales – network marketing many people will say this isn’t a good idea but if you live in an area that doesn’t have a lot of a certain product or a lot of the same reps you can be very successful – the best idea is to pick up the magazine Success From Home the June addition has great stories, ideas and people making real money. It’s comforting to see success (from home)!
Good Luck.

Chris asks…
Stay at home moms & jobs?
I am a 22 year old stay home mom to a 3 year old. I REFUSE to work while my child is this young. I was wondering if anyone knows of any stay at home jobs that are real. And that you dont have to pay to get started.
THANK YOU all for your help

Yigly Admin answers:
Sell something like organic lotions or vitamins. I know there ar lot of people that do medical billing from home. Of course you have to have the software and that may take a little more of your time away than you want.
But you could also take in another child and give your 3 year old a playmate. Put up an adverstiment for homeschooled moms there are a lot out there that would gladly pay you to keep their kid for a few hours during the week.
You could also try to start your own online store. Or if you like to go to yard sales keep your eyes open for interesting little thigns or if you hit a really good clearance sale buy extras and sell it on ebay.
If you are really good in math, english, science or something like that tutor someone.
Be creative…do you like to sew? Make pillows and sell them on line, or purses, or new born outfits something simple like that. Chari covers….whatever…
Good luck and be very proud of yourself that you are not falling for all that junk that a stay at home mom doesn’t contribute enough! You are very blessed and your little one is going to remember this and take care of you when he / she grows up! Awesome!
