Pop Warner Coaching staff have bad attitudes and are making kids cry.?

Please read I need as much help as possible. My son plays pop warner football (tackle) and he is 9 years old. The kids on his team range in ages from 7 to 9. Some have never played football before and are on their first year. Some such as my son, is in his 4th year. My son has been very fortunate in the coaching he has received in the time he has played. The coaches have always been positive, professional, caring and great overall mentors for the children. However; this year, my son ended up on a team where it is the head coach’s first year coaching tackle football. I would like to make sure that I say that I really appreciate any person who volunteers to work with kids. Moving on, this coach really does not build morale and there is another coach who is also a parent of one of the kids of the time, whom has a very bad attitude. Between the two, they have made a couple of the kids cry. During a game the assistant coach threw his papers on the floor after the kids made a mistake.
The assistant coach is very sarcastic and belittling to both the kids and the parents. During a game the head coach grabbed a kid by the helmet and was jerking his head back and forth. Both coaches are just very very negative and some of the parents are complaining that their kids do not even want to go to practice or to the games. The coaches have not really picked on my son however, the parents are complaining amongst each other and to me about the coaches. Today, after a game I finally got fed up and have decided to e-mail the head coach. My son is the starting running back who has scored all of the touchdowns this season and is well known by the entire league so, I don’t anticipate that if I say something there will be any retaliation against him (such as not giving him as much play time). I feel bad for the other kids and the parents who feel that if they say something it will be taken out on their kids. Please help me in what to say in the e-mail so that I don’t sound too harsh.

Some people are just plain nasty and when placed in a position of authority it does not come across as leadership but as abuse. Kids your son’s age do not need this BS, perhaps in their teens you need to lead with a big stick at times, but at 7-9 this is the wrong approach totally IMHO. Reminds me of an adult hockey camp I attended where the instructor/coach was ranting and raving at a bunch of grown men, some of whom were older than he was. We all had a calm word with him and said we were there to learn, but so what if we were not skating hard enough for his liking, it was our $$$$. He toned down his approach the next time out. Volunteer to help out yourself perhaps.

I used to let the kids bring in the riding toys from outside and we would have races through out the house. Or we would play simon says’. Even hide and seek inside was fun for them. Hiding in the tub or under a bed. Or we would use the dry erase board and play hang man.

What were some “neighborhood” games you remember playing?

In our neighborhood, we get lots of people to play games. Here they are:
Cops and Robbers: the best game to play in the neighborhood, we play at night and it’s amazing!

Baseball: Completely different from regular baseball, much harder, you need to know where the divots are.

Maniac: Made up game, one maniac, the whole group has to try and catch them.

Dinosaur (some little dude named it, we all hate it, but we have gotten so used to calling it that): opposite of Maniac, one person has to try to catch everybody, when he catches someone, they are on his team.

Ultimate Frisbee: regular rules

Cornfield Tag: only at night, we go into the cornfield and play tag. It is so fun and scary!!! Unfortunately, they are destroying the cornfield for houses, so we are all sad that we won’t be able to play anymore.

AND MORE!!! We make up a lot of games!

Unfortunately, they are building houses in our neighborhood all over, and the newer parents dont like the older kids to much.

We don’t play too much anymore but we had fun playing a lot of games a few years back.
Baseball- always ended in a fight
Ghosts in the graveyard
Capture the flag
We also played this football game, it was something like monkey in the middle, but very different.
Now lots of us have grown up and are in high school, and while I would still like to play with them, I think they are either too embarrassed to play these “little kid” games or don’t think anyone else would play. It is kind of sad, I miss playing with them.

You dig on my MJ theory?

MJ was the best thing to happen to basketball, right?

Maybe. He definitely revolutionized the game — made it faster, higher, more entertaining. He made kids want to “be like Mike” — trust me, I remember Chicago in the late 80s and early 90s. And MJ was definitely good for the NBA as a business (nevermind Nike and the Chinese sweatshops).

But I’m thinking about his affect on basketball as a team game. I am talking about the difference between individuals playing roles on a team vs. individuals having an entire team built around them. Did the concept of having that ONE GUY exist before MJ? And hasn’t Kobe taken that ONE GUY mentality to the extreme? Is the whole “And 1″ and “mtv basketball” movement part of the Jordan Era gone awry? Or is it a logical and positive step for the game?
But he doesn’t give teammates a chance to excel, because he is beyond a ball hog . . he’s a ball fascist. And they love him on Sportscenter!

Also, those other players weren’t “built around” in the same way Kobe is. And some of them were on the SAME TEAM. Even Jordan had a really good team around him — Grant, Pippen, a three-headed-monster, Paxon, B.J. Armstrong, etc.
Why do we elevate Joran’s “Air-ness” so often at the expense of his teammates?

Yigly Admin answers:

No, Magic vs. Bird had much more of an impact than Jordan. Jordan invented the whole individual thing, but he didn’t go all the way with it. Kobe has made much more of that progress [But eventually backed down], but LeBron has gone the extra mile on making basketball all about the superstar.

“But he doesn’t give teammates a chance to excel, because he is beyond a ball hog . . He’s a ball fascist. And they love him on Sportscenter!”
Jordan never “sold” or actually even tried to “sell” his teammates like Kobe, but I believe that Kobe tries to make a flashy assist just to sell himself at the same time.

All of that brought back many memories, I was born before World War II.

There was much more. On the farm we worked.

Drove horse teams.
Picked rock from the field.
Mornings emptied pots from under each bed (we had no in-house water).
After the telephone was installed, counted the rings to see if it was for us.
Collected metal, rubber, paper and other things for the war effort.
Drove tractor.
Fed the farm animals.
Milked cows.
Swam in the river (no accompanying adult).
Traveled through the woods alone.
Hunted with rifle.
Saturday bath in metal tub in the kitchen.
All of this and more before I was ten.

We listened to, and respected, adults.
We went to school because we wanted to learn and that with a number 2 pencil and paper.
We also worked with adults learning how to shingle a roof, fix a water faucet leak, repair a window Screen, fix a broken window, change oil in the car, how to do carpentry work, how to fix farm machinery.

None of this was considered a big deal, just what we did.

During the summer we play games we made up, like, pirates with sticks for swords, cowboys and Indians with home made guns and bows, made our own kites, many of our toys were our father’s and mother’s tools (as long as we returned them).

We made our own crystal radio sets, we watched the radio and saw the characters in our imaginations. We learned to put on plays. We actually learned to read with comprehension, to write in script, to do our “numbers” in our heads, we learned real history and appreciation for books.

Something has changed and I’m not sure what it is.

financial accounting question?

Wagner Company purchased a retail shopping center on January 1, 2007, at a cost of $612,000. Wagner estimated that the life of the building would be 25 years and the residual value at the end of 25 years would be $12,000.

On January 1, 2008, the company made several expenditures related to the building. The entire building was painted and floors were refinished at a cost of $115,200. A local zoning agency required Wagner to install additional fire protection equipment, including sprinklers and built-in alarms, at a cost of $87,600. With the new protection, Wagner believed it was possible to increase the residual value of the building to $30,000.

In 2009, Wagner altered its corporate strategy dramatically. The company sold the retail shopping center on January 1, 2009, for $360,000 cash.

Required:

Determine the amount of depreciation that should be reflected on the income statement for 2007 and 2008. Use positive numbers for all amounts unless otherwise directed. If necessary, round any depreciation calculations to the nearest dollar.

Yigly Admin answers:

You are 20 years old living in NYC. Why don’t you look into something for your future as well as now. Like starting your own business. There are so many different types of business to start up. Ones that don’t cost a whole lot to get involved in. That’s what my husband and I did over six years ago and it well supports our family of six. You could start a business and run it out of your home (home based business) plenty of options to chose from. Most cost under $500 to start. You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business owner without the over head expenses. Just about everything you use in your home becomes a tax write off.
If you know construction, you could even start up a construction business and work it out of your home. (the office part of it anyway)But there are things with this type of home based business you have to do and set up first. This is one of the hardest home based businesses to get involved in, but the potential income here is pretty good.
My husband and I started our home based business over six years ago. We both work out of our home around our children’s school and sports activities. We got involved in an International telecommunications service provider that was started back in 1993. It’s a 15 year old, world wide company that’s in numerous countries. It’s the largest direct selling telecommunications service provider in the world. With headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Charlotte, Amsterdam, Sydney and Montreal.
They have been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it’s first five years. They are registered with the BBB as well.
They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc with the latest plans and most popular equipment. You help put them on a new 2 year contract plan or upgrading and extending an existing contracts through all the major cellular phone providers. You also help them save money on all their other telecommunication needs as well as Satellite TV. Every single month these people pay their bills, you make a percentage over and over again each month.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of money involved in this industry.

I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business opportunities. Your more then welcome to take a look. There are over half a dozen different ones to look at for some ideas. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at kaiden4@aol.com

Good Luck to you!

No, of course not. No one is willing to pay good money to have a survey filled out.

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies.

You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job.

These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as “work at home” because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

Here are my suggestions on finding a legitimate opportunity that’s right for YOU:

- Set your financial goals — Are you just looking for extra income or a potential full-time income? How long (and hard) are you willing to work to meet your goal?

- Determine if you are looking for a JOB or a BUSINESS — there is a distinct difference between the two and you want to focus your energies appropriately for the best results.

- If looking for a JOB, what are your marketable skills and previous experiences? If you are looking for a BUSINESS, go with your passions, things that interest and motivate you the most. Build a list and use that to begin your search. General rule of thumb: Never pay for a job (businesses, on the other hand, usually involve some expenses). I recommend checking out the Telecommuting Moms folder here at WAHM.com for leads on home JOBS. I also have some resources for freelance work and telecommuting jobs on my Work From Home site.

- Review your budget — know ahead of time what you are willing and able to invest into your business, including start-up costs and ongoing maintenance and promotion.

- Find a rep to contact, check out their websites, ask questions, do your own independent research. Check resources such as www.bbb.org for potential scams.

Progressive Review calls a boycott of WHOLE FOODS are you going to start buying there for the 1st time like me?

Having an honest opposing viewpoint is not unAmerican and is not a reason to boycott an American company. It is however a reason to boycott an ONLINE Political bag of unAmerican activity like the Progressive Review…just don’t go there!

I have never shopped at WHOLE FOODS, yet I’m going start to support the right to his Freedom of Speech displayed by the CEO.

Progressive Review is unAmerican in their activities designed to intimidate and stifle free expression of any discenting views regarding the socialization of American Medicine and the overhaul of the American Health Insurance Industry.

of other people’s money.”

The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare

Whole Foods CEO’s Health Care Views Provoke Online Progressive Review to Call for a Boycott

Calls to boycott Whole Foods Market are growing louder and more sophisticated following a Wall Street Journal opinion article by the company’s chief executive, John Mackey, in which he criticized President Obama’s health care plan and offered his own alternative.

Mackey’s article first prompted individuals to threaten taking their business elsewhere. But now the Progressive Review, an online alternative publication, is calling for a formal boycott, and campaigns are popping up all over, including on Facebook, a popular online social networking site.

Protesters are hoping a boycott will cut into the success of Whole Foods, the 10th largest food and drug store in the U.S., which reported sales of $1.8 billion for the last quarter, a 2 percent increase from the previous quarter.

As of Saturday, the Whole Foods Internet forum had more than 4,000 postings. One commenter thanked Mackey for revealing his political views.

Would a Blackberry be the best phone for me?

I really need a new mobile phone for my Xmas as the one I have is so old and really doesn’t do much. I am going to be spending a few months in Spain next year (going to Spanish school) and I would really like a phone/device to take with me which would allow me to email and keep in touch with home, and also something that I could download some apps to, perhaps to help me navigate in a new city, and translate words I don’t know, etc.
An iPad and an iPhone I think are a bit out of my price range, and so I was wondering about maybe getting a Blackberry. I really don’t know much about them though and wasn’t sure if they were more for business people, or if they do do all the things for which I am looking.
Can anyone help me…or even give me some recommendations of phones that might do similar things. I am completely overwhelmed with all the phones out there and would appreciate any help!

I love traveling, airports/airplanes are the best places on earth for me anyways here are things you can do. Since you are going on a long distance flight im pretty certain there is going to be entertainment on your plane but just in case I’d buy some of your favorite magazines, book, or of course bring an ipod (I don’t know if you can use one on a plane you have to ask) also bring lots of gum, gum doesn’t quite do it for popping my ears but it’s always nice to have something to chew on you can also bring some snacks but don’t bring something that’s too crunchy so there won’t be much disturbance. I would definitely bring some snacks since airports are so expensive and airplane food is blah xD

Anyways airports are like giant malls! Go ahead and explore them! IT’s quite fun actually and can be quite the adventure xD but be sure to keep your luggage with you at all times! If you don’t like exploring them you can sit and well what i would do is maybe download a fun game on my phone that doesn’t require internet (for airplane use) I would bring my laptop since i think they have internet in the airport, that’s what i heard from my dad’s cousin, you can charge it there also. But I don’t recommend using your laptop there considering the fact you might lose focus and something might come up and you might forget your laptop/ticket/bag i don’t know.

Sit in the window seat since it really passes time looking once taking off. You can also bring playing cards (Solitaire or something). Oh bring a notebook and maybe some colors (this may not be for all people but i love art and i love drawing and i guess it passes time.) A journal might help (diary) Trust me, i don’t think you’ll get bored, airports are so fun to explore and a lot of airplanes these days have entertainment on there flight if it’s long distance. Don’t forget your toothbrush, toothpaste (you can get travel size in the dollar store) another good idea is get a moisturizer since your hands might get dry. Drink plenty of water, bring a water bottle since airports are very expensive these days and remember have fun!

For make up I have no clue since I don’t wear make up (NO im not ten but i am 15 and my mom won’t allow me to wear it until i turn 18 or Senior year.)

For clothes I would probably just either bring a light jacket since it’s only summer or if it’s colder a bigger jacket i would ask your relatives.

For shoes i would bring a pair of dress shoes, a pair of sandals and a pair of tennis shoes and remember you cant bring too much since you have so much room in your carry on

And I have heard just this morning that my mother’s friend’s son was just in Italy and got robbed without him even knowing…6k!!! They took his walet without him knowing so please be careful with the people there and always stay with your family becuase alot of bad people look for nieve girls, good luck! And have a safe flight!

Yigly Admin answers:

Okay here’s what I would bring:

Clothing:
7 or so Tshirts/cami’s/tank tops/tops
7 or so shorts/capris
9 or so pairs of socks/underclothes
2 or 3 jackets/sweatshirts
2 or 3 pairs of jeans/sweatpants
2 or 3 bathing suits (if your going to be swimming)
1 or 2 nice outfits (skirts, dresses, nice tops) this way if you go out to eat at a nice restaurant or do something a bit fancier.. You’ll be prepared!
8 pairs of PJs
A couple pairs of athletic shorts and shirts if you go hiking or work out or whatever

Now, jsyk, the reason I told you only to bring about a week’s worth of clothes is because your going to visit family so they will have a washer and dryer over there I’m sure. You can simply coordinate outfits such as Shorts A might match both Shirt A and Shirt B so you can just wear the shorts again with a different shirt. This will save tons of space!

Shoes:
A pair of tennis shoes/converse
1 or 2 pairs of flip flops
A nicer pair of shoes (heels, cute sandels, flats, etc.) This will go with your nice outfits

Tolietries:
Shampoo/conditioner/shower gel
Lufa or wash cloth
Toothbrush and toothpaste (or you could use theirs)
Hair products (hairspray, gel, etc.)
Hair straightner or curler (if you use either of these)
Hair brush and hair ties
Face wash products (if you wash your face everyday)
Deodorant
Perfume
Feminine products you might need
Makeup (just get a little makeup bag and only take the necessities. You won’t need that eye shadow you’ve only worn once or twice in your life… So just take what you wear everyday and maybe some extras for when you get dressed up)
Makeup remover

Extras:
Beach towel (if you plan on swimming)
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Bug spray (you never know when you might need it!)
A small tote bag or clutch purse or something that you could carry around with you when you go shopping or somewhere in town. This will be used to carry your wallet, phone, money, chapstick, and whatever else you need for going out.
Money and a wallet so you don’t have to just leave your money in your pocket

Things to keep you busy:
Phone and phone charger
Camera and camera charger
iPod/iPad
A book or two (depending on how fast you read)
Some magazines
Crossword/suduku/word search puzzles
A deck of cards or the game Uno (Hey, maybe one day you could have a family card game! Lol)
Summer homework you might have (might as well get it done on the trip over there and it will keep you busy!!)
Drawing pad and some colored pencils (you could doodle or draw or simply just play hangman/tic tac toe/etc.)

That’s pretty much all I could think of. Just remember.. Don’t overpack because your going to visit family so you will be able to wash clothes and rewear stuff I’m sure. And a tip would be to roll up your clothes so that you have more room in your suitcase. Hope I helped you out some! Have fun on your trip!!

EDIT: I would also bring an umbrella. It tends to rain sometimes in Europe (depending on where your going) so it’s better to be prepared!

answer a algebra equation question for me please?

Jane is organising a team-building day to integrate new recruits in her
workplace. She has received quotes from two activity centres in her area.
The quotes include a standard hiring cost for the facility and a catering
cost for each person who attends. Altogether, there are thirty members of
the team including the new recruits; however, not everyone will be
available on the day and Jane expects the number attending to be
somewhere between 15 and 25. Venue A charges a standard hiring fee of
£210 and £12 per person for catering. Venue B charges a standard hiring
fee of £300 with a catering cost of £7 per person.

The linear equation y = 12x + 210 can be used to calculate the total
cost y (in pounds) for hiring Venue A, when the number of people
attending is x. Find a similar equation that can be used to give the
total cost y (in pounds) for hiring Venue B for x people. Explain how
the equation.is found.

Yigly Admin answers:

Y=300+7x

So ‘y’ is the total cost. The total cost equals a starting fee of 300 pounds. Each person that attends, lets call them ‘x’ will cost 7 pounds each, therefore add that to the starting price of 300 and you will get the total cost

There is no definitive guide as such, but there are some great resources out there to help. There’s a site called utalkmarketing.com which has a digital section- http://www.utalkmarketing.com/Speciality.aspx?nav=speciality_digital
It has a best practice section with case studies and also a basic info section if you are starting from scratch. The great thing is, they are all written within the last 6 months or so. Another way in is to look at some books although a lot of these are too old as online marketing is constantly changing. There’s one i use called ‘Marketing Through Search Optimization: How to Be Found on the Web’ which is a good jumping off point and was written in the last 2 years. I hope this helps.

Yigly Admin answers:

There are no Primerica forums because Primerica deals with finances, which is heavily regulated. Not only that, its also against compliance.

If you want successful strategies, talk to your RVP. He or she can lead you to other successful Primerica reps who are financially independent such as Bob Safford, Jimmy Meyer, Keith Otto, Hector La Marque, Virginia Carter and many others. There’s over 60 reps making 1 million to over 5 million and over 2000 reps making 6 figure income. I don’t know any other company that has that kind of statistics.

You don’t need to go to network marketing sites or go to Primerica forums. Primerica has the best business leaders in the company that you can learn from. I learn many things from these leaders such as overcoming objections, getting referrals, don’t become a manager of your team, you must lead from the front and people will copy what you do, and so on.

One thing you should know is that if you get to work and do it consistently, everything you want to achieve from Primerica will come true. The key point is doing it consistently until you become a RVP and become financially independent.

The Trump Network is a Multi Level marketing program that in fact is run by Donald himself. Trump purchased Ideal Health sometime last year, which is a company that sells customized vitamins as well as other innovative products.
This is random, but does anyone else find it annoying that facebook is now made up of 2 types of people…?

It seems like since facebook became an open free for all that there are mostly 2 types of people joining…the kids (most of which have been there since the beginning when it was only open to students) and then marketers (the old folks who want to try and get in on the fun by making profiles so they can find out what the kids are talking about and how best to market to them through the social network forum). Even the ads that they promote have that segregation. They only two types of ads I ever see are for things for the first group like weight, shoes, and fashion products…and then ads for the second group that are all talking about marketing forums and 2.0

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?

Yigly Admin answers:

Internet is now a days used for online marketing, i.e. Internet is a resource for sales professionals engaged in selling high-end product to end users, with a focus on lead generation.
Business listing in a familiar SEO company generates high traffic to the business which highly generates resources for sales professionals. It is obvious that internet marketing is a resource for business professionals.

The internet has become a significant sales tool for B2B sales people, the internet has gone largely untapped as a resource for business-to-consumer sales professionals. The internet is not magic, but it can help the consumer sales person in four ways:

1. Research the Prospect

Just as in B2B sales, it’s good to know about your prospect. If you sell in a way that allows research before your sales interaction (I’m thinking about those who sell in customers’ homes, or those who sell insurance or financial products, and I’m sure there are others where it would be applicable, too), a quick Google or Linkedin search can shed light on important personal and business information about your prospects.

But you don’t just have to stop at a Google search; there are many other sites that can provide valuable intelligence on your consumer prospect. The business lister http://directory.ac generates high internet resource for sales professionals. They adopt all methods for business development technics. Take a moment and experience the superior quality of Internet Marketing resources that make up the business directory to find Internet Marketing business you need.

2. Learn How to Sell
There’s a wealth of excellent information available on the internet for those who want to improve their sales knowledge. This site is a good example.

3. Connect with Fellow Salespeople
The B2B sales community has responded in a big way to the networking and connection opportunities the internet offers. B2C sales people have been slower to take advantage of these sites. But networking isn’t only for B2B sales people; it’s also for B2C salespeople.

You can learn from fellow sales people who sell in the same industry but live on the other end of the continent. You can connect with sales people in different industries who may have connections for you to develop into potential leads or strategic partnerships. You can connect with sales trainers and experts in your area of selling. You can even with connect with consumers on sites they visit.

4. Connect with Potential Customers
I believe every B2C sales person who sells big ticket retail products, or sells in customers’ homes, or sells real estate, insurance, or financial products should have their own website and blog and a search engine optimization strategy to become recognized online as an expert in their field. This is important in 2009, but it’s going to be even more important five years from now, so those who start now will have an advantage.

Even if you’re employed by a company who has its own website and online marketing program, you need to create an identity for yourself in your industry and with your market. After all, you may very well be working for a different employer in five years, and you want your online reputation to follow you to your new company or business venture. The only way to do that online is to think like an individual, not just an employee. Most of the works are processed by the listing company. So the internet resources meant for sales professionals engaged in selling high end product to end users.

No, you cannot make money stuffing envelopes from home. Most companies that say you can make money stuffing envelopes are scams. I have actually been down that road and I failed. It is a scam because companies wouldn’t pay individuals money to stuff envelopes when they can get a machine to do it for them. And even if they did pay you, you wouldn’t make very much at all because how can companies afford to pay top dollar for an individual performing a simple tasks.

IF YOU TRULY WANT TO MAKE MONEY then check this out:

http://www.forexautoprofitbot.com

Its a forex trading robot that makes money in the forex market. Works like a charm for me. It runs on 4 different robots in one and each robot specializes in currency pairs.
